The application has 6 tabs:
1. SWIMMERS
The tab SWIMMERS is used for managing all swimmers who can be nominated to the relay and who can be used for the calculation in the future.
Adding a new swimmer requires to enter his identification – name, surname, nickname, date of birth and gender (required fields) and times for 50, 100 and 200 distance for each swimming style and for both pool lengths (25, 50).
Swimmer can be added to favourites by clicking on symbol ♥ – for future quick adding to team.
Short click on swimmer in the list displays his detailed overview, where you can edit swimmer, add/remove him from favourites, add/remove him from team.
Long click on swimmer in the list allows to edit (change or delete) his details.
Swimmers are saved in database, which can be backed up and sent by e-mail.
2. TEAM
Team represents the selection of swimmers who will be used for the best relay team calculation. You can select all favourite swimmers by one click ♥ or select others from the list.
Short click on swimmer in the list displays his detailed overview.
Long click removes selected swimmer from the team and the calculation will run without him.
The “Trash” button removes all swimmers from the team.
If there is enough swimmers selected for the calculation and all of selected swimmers have filled in times corresponding to the parameters on the tab “SETTINGS”, the calculation will start. The result is shown on the tab “RELAY”.
3. SETTINGS
It is used to set the calculation parameters, it contains the basic settings of relay characteristics, i.e. distance, style, gender, age, etc.
It is possible to set the number of teams. Choosing “A team” results in a four membered team – minimum number of swimmers required on the tab “SWIMMERS” is 4 and all of them have to fulfil the other criteria (age, gender).
By Choosing “A+B team” results in creating 2 teams – minimum number of swimmers required on the tab “SWIMMERS” is 8.
By choosing “A+B team” there is an option to choose the calculating strategy. The strategy “Time A best” results in the fastest combination for the team A, the team B is calculated as the fastest team from the remaining members of the TEAM
The strategy “Place (A+B) best” marks the fastest combination of 2 teams with comparable times.
4. RELAY
The best relay calculation results are shown on the tab “RELAY”.
Long click on particular relay adds it to the roster (displayed on the tab “ROSTER”). Swimmers from selected relay will not be used for next calculation in the same discipline.
If there is no result on this tab, it is necessary to check the swimmers data on the tab “TEAM”. Enough swimmers with relevant time records according to the parameters on the tab “SETTINGS” are needed. Otherwise it is not possible to calculate the relay combination.
The button “Share” enables to send the best relay combination list via e-mail.
The buttons with the team names (A, B) are used for quick search of this team in long result list.
5. ROSTER
Tab “ROSTER“ displays all relays added to roster from the tab “RELAYS“.
Long click on relay will remove it from the roster.
You can use button „Trash“ to remove all relays from the roster.
6. SUMMARY
This tab displays summary of all relays, swimmers and their number of relay participations from the roster.
If entry fee data are inserted in PREFERENCES, then total amount of entry fees will be displayed here, as well.
PREFERENCES settings
The swimmers database can be backed up or restored from the previous backup in “PREFERENCES”.
It is also possible to delete all swimmers from database.
PREFERENCES settings: minimum age for Masters relays, Mixed relay combination, type of entry fee payment and its amount.
Application allows language selection.
